Do the wing windows and the Bug catcher windows take the same weatherstrip?

I never see bug catcher windows listed for weatherstrip

How is that hot rod going?

Anyone care to explain what's meant by "bug-catcher windows" and "wing windows"?

Toyota call this (what I have on my 1979 BJ40) a "vent window".

And there are aftermarket suppliers (non-Toyota) of this weatherstrip with products that closely match OEM. (I've just fitted a pair.)

Yes its confusing!
Bug-catcher opens so wind is forced in from the front facing edge of the window. Hinge is at the rear of the glass. Could possibly drown in the rain and bugs could enter. Bug entry speed will be directly related to actual driving speed.:p These seem to be on fewer years than the later vent design.
Vent style opens from the rear facing edge. Hinge is at the front of the glass. Could use these in the rain and bugs wouldn't enter while driving forward.

I do not have any pics of other vent style but look like most all domestic and foriegn vehicles from the 60/70/80's.

Thanx for the explanations.
