The 1960 FJ25 finally arrived in Ohio, attaching some new pics. Like my 1959, it was also titled in 1961. Lots of holes in the body I have not seen on any other FJ25. Help?

Last Two Pics

Last Two Pics. Is it possible some of this sheet metal is from later models? Appreciate any comments as usual. Thanks, Rick

The holes in the cowl are from antennas hacked in over the years. The hood and fender holes....................who knows, but they don't belong there.

The right rear quarter holes and the holes in the rear sill on the right side are for a factory tire carrier, an FJ 40 carrier will fit there.

The left rear quarter holes (4 on the bottom) are for the factory license holder and license lamp. The four upper ones are for the reflectors, we think those were dealer installed as the 25's had Stratolites on them.

Looking good. :D

The doors are slide window style. The door top window frames are with it. But, no window hardware or glass for them. Also missing the side glass for both sides of the top, and vehicle is missing the bi-folding rear door too. Only has one of the rear seats. Front window air vent door is missing. So, need some help with these items if anyone has any leads.

Is the locking gas cap original? How about the metal loops along the top edge of the rear swinging doors?

Very Nice Rick!

Those loops are for a soft top. Also, there was a set of these doors forsale here on mud a few months ago...and I remember some older seats. I'll try and search later...busy day today.

:hhmm: Hey Johnny, you know the doors I'm talking about??

Thanks Dean, I bought a set of doors some months ago off E-bay, so I have an extra set. However, they too are missing the glass and the hardware for window vents and sliding windows. (See Pic).

Can anyone post a picture of the slider hardware so I can see what that looked like?

Another thing I noticed on both of my FJ25's is that the windshield is etched 'BJ25'.
Anybody know if that is normal?

The doors look like they are off a 65-71 FJ40. The early hard tops were not set up for the footman loops to tie on the rear cover of the soft top and in 72 they went from three to two loops on each door. The pre 63 cruisers were set up for a inside lock on both doors. I'll bet these only have the lock on the passenger's side door.

John, you are absolutely correct about the doors, so I now know I need a set of those too.

How about the windshield, is the BJ25 etched glass correct for FJ25's?

You've gotta be kidding me. It's got an original windshield in it too? That's great! Take a close up of the glass stamp and post it please.

Very nice 25 Rick. Good find.

No need to find door (which would be really hard) just remove the footman loops and add the second lock. Still may be able to get it from toyota. They use these door thru the 1974 model year here in the US

That would be the original glass for a 25.

Air Vent on 60FJ that is not on 59FJ

Guys, is it consistent with what we know that 59 FJ25 would not have had this air vent but a 1960 FJ25 would have had it? Thanks.

It's not a year thing but a type of air cleaner thing. Oil bath air cleaner had a tube connecting to the apron port. The paper air cleaner was open all the way around the top so no way to connect to the vent. Oil bath was an option.

If you check Bull's rig in the ROTM in the 45 forum you will see an air cleaner something like that of the 25. It doesn't set on the other side of the engine like Bull's but the opening on the top was the same.
