Just trying to make a funny.:D

Always good to start the day off with a laugh, Mike picked up that hitch for you yesterday a light blasting and paint and it'll be good to go :)

i think that this time of year the park is a good idea, but july and aug is waaaayyyyyy to hot even with fans.

Drift Wood Cafe south of the mall off 167 looks like a freindly place. I will stop by during the week and check it out if wanted.

yes BUT the patio at BWW was pretty hot also. At least at a park we could direct the fans on us. It would be even better if we could find some trees. That would help.

I don't have any other ideas at this time but puleeze if ANYONE has a place that is suitable for our meetings please speak up!

Does it have a patio?

thanks John and ask if meetings are okay and if we need to reserve an area also if kids are allowed.

If worse comes to worse we can have it here under the trees. Bring your favorite beverage and a chair. If it's raining we can hold it at the trailer on it's patio. If it's cold.....no idea on that yet:doh:

get a feeling if the meeting were to be held there, not too many would be paying attention as to what was discussed :D

Seriously..what about the park idea that I mentioned in an earlier post?

 you're right about that

I like the park idea but we'd be subject to the changing weather conditions that could spoil a few and no food or drink service. The parks are also packed when the weather is good it sure wasn't any quieter yesterday. If the others can live with it I sure can :)

just spoke to a friend and he said there was a new place on Amb Caffery called La Hacienda that has a patio. next time I go to Wal mart I will look into it unless someone else goes there first which is surely okay.

Mike; I like the flag, I'm interested in getting one or two. Will need to put some thought in what I want.

Nice avator!

I sent the email to Lisa today with the logo. I didn't think about the multiple colors within the state until I went to send it to her. I asked her to look at it and tell me what she thinks. She is very creative and will be very forthcoming as to whether it can be done or not. Once we get it all straightened out, I will get 2 made....one for me and one for Larry so that everyone can see what they look like. But she can do ANYTHING you want. If it's some kind of picture, you just need to supply me with the eps format of the artwork. As soon as I hear from her, I will let you all know what the outcome is. :D

Sorry I missed the meeting, but it sounds like it was a blessing in disguise. I surely would have showed up with my son had I gone. Sounds like this place is not the perfect fit for future meetings. Any places in Broussard, Youngsville, Maurice that might be suitable? There is a place here in New Iberia (Pelican's on the Bayou) that would work well I'm sure, but we probably need something closer Lafayette.

Has anyone considered Pete's? It's a great meeting place if you schedule in advance with Mark Hutchinson and reserve the private room or back corner section. The only downfall is parking. You won't be able to park in a line or rigs like BWW, but the meeting accomodations are really nice. You can probably get Mark to hang up some wheeling pics, banners and posters too.

Oh, and the food is really good and there's something for everyone. It's a great place for kids too. Mine love going there. Bring a roll of quarters to keep them occupied.

Just my .02. Haven't done that in a while.

Yes, the owner is Mark Hutchinson. They have a private room and a semi-private back room. You may want to visit and maybe schedule one meeting to see how it goes, and then I'd book it for the year b/c families, groups, clubs, etc use his facilities pretty often.

Pete's sounds great thanks Marty I didn't think of it. We have office lunches in the big room from time to time and it would be perfect. Maybe you can put in a good word for your ole pals ;)

When is the next meeting? I'll call him to see if he can reserve a spot for us.

Our next and last meeting for 2010 is November 21. We resume in March 2011. We have it (usually) the 3rd Sunday of the month.

Thanks M for you input.
