my truck had a "salvage" title when i bought it..so i had to get it inspected by the state troopers, they only check the VIN #'s on the body parts and at least 2 have to match. so the dash plaque and a door or fender and you should be good. but thats only if you have to do the "lost title"

the "new" cab have a title? if so, just use that one, cause then your #'s should match your paperwork...?

TGIF , its a good day to be doing anything but sitting in an office :crybaby:

Alright, I need recovery Gear. What's the best place to get some, either Local, or Online?

I'd like a Tree saver. shackles, and a snatch block, I saw one, where it has a pivot around the pully, so you can easily put the cable on, I thought it was pretty cool.. :D

I tackled the winch issue today, and found some loose space connectors, which might have moved from the vibration, causing it to stop working, then magically work again.. :D:D:D
I wanna be prepared..

Thanks
Cody

Looking for a kit or to put one together yourself?

Jacque at TRDParts4U or Steve at Southeast Overland can get you taken care of Cody. Both usually have some kind of specials going. Just PM coonass for Jacque and eventhough for Steve and ask them what they have. I just got a new hawse fairlead and a strap from SEO. And they are both sponsors of Mardi Krawl. ;)

Sweet. Just ordered a ARB Heavy Duty Recovery Snatch Block, ARB LARGE D-RING SHACKLE 19,000 LB, ARB TREE PROTECTOR 16 FT from TRDParts4U.

Larry, You have a Bubba Rope, correct. I checked the site, and it seems that it's saying the 28,600LB is more suited to like Jeeps and smaller SUV's, vs the 56,000 is more for large trucks, and SUV's. Which would you recommend, I'd hate to get the smaller, and break it first time. But also doubt I'd get that stuck.... Which one do you have?

Thanks
Cody

I have the bubba rated at 28,600 and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality it's heavy duty, I watched a few videos and think it'll work for those times I need those running pulls. I also have the 20FT 30K lb strap as well for those normal situations where you just need to lend a helping hand out of a spot :) my brother was stuck beyond a helping hand which inspired the purchase, LOL.

You know it's not fair. Reading how the 200s overseas come with factory diff locks, Diesel engines, winches, trim options etc. I could get exactly what I really want in my LC and pay 1/3rd less. Why does Toyota hate us?

I agree bud but I don't think its toyota but more our government cracking down. Its Al Gore and the special interest groups that kill any chance of us getting the cool stuff :( The Aussies really have a nice cruiser selection, South America not to shabby either :)

Sitting at twic office, crazy over here!!!!

TWIC = Transportation Worker Identification Credential

It's like a passport for offshore workers

Thanks Justin that's the first I hear of it, well good luck with your TWIC then Mike

Thanks Justin, two hours in there!!! Yep something land lovers don't know about ;)

I thought they stopped requiring the TWIC card. I've been asked to see mine twice since I got it back whenever. And those two times were to enter that shipyard in Fourchon. My shifts covered theirs so I saw both guards the first day.
