So what are the cruisers getting for Christmas? I am getting an agm battery and some Griot's garage polish and waxes.

Nice , the Griots products seem to work really well Paul and Scott would give it great reviews. No cruiser parts for me this year the wife asked where I wanted a GC to Metal Tech or other and I turned it down for some new backpacking equipment. Between the bumper ordeal and the new window motor and lock actuator I put in last week Christmas came early for the 80 :)

A few things to note.....

I've been wanting to let you all know that Mike Gregory is no longer at Musson-Patout Toyota in case you all weren't aware. That built Blue 40 he bought has been sold so we'll not see it around here. We may also need to see about re-establishing our relationship with them through someone else over there.

Yesterday I bought my wife a new Platinum Sequoia at Musson Patout and ordered myself a Tundra. Aside from my daughter's Volvo, we're gonna be an all Toyota family!

I will soon be selling my wife's 2005 Ford King Ranch Expedition as well as my 40th Anniversary 80. If anyone here is interested in either, please let me know. Both are in good shape and extremely reliable. I have an uninstalled Safari Snorkel for the 80 that will go with it....or I might be talked into selling it separately.

Lastly, I will work on putting together an outing to Avery Island after hunting season and once the weather gets nicer. I had hoped to do that this past Fall, but the timing was never right. I know Ms. Jean wants to get out there and if I can make it happen, I will!

Merry Christmas to you all!!!

Hey, A!!!

Merry Christmas to you guys. I've written two letters to Kelly Patout-Romero...nothing back. Please feel free to use that two car leverage to try to slide us back into good graces w/ them.

Thanks for any help you can give us.

Congrats on the new rides Armond that's some nice additions :) we did hear about Mike and was sad to hear it he had some great ideas and would be nice to have someone in the dealership participating in our activities. Sorry to see the 80 go I'd love to have but have no chance on the timing. We look forward to hearing about the Avery Island planning :) Merry Christmas to you and your family as well :)

merry christmas bslca !

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. I decided to stop by and give you guys an update.

Bought an '04 Passat TDi. Driving my chevy to work was hitting me hard in the pocket. However, I shortly found out that it needed a major engine component changed (design flaw, not broken when I bought it). So I've been spending a lot of time on that. I'm going to have it back together and on the road soon. After I fix the rear crank seal that is!

I'm back to taking classes. When I'm not working on the car, I'm usually doing homework.

I'm also getting back into the Army Reserve. A friend of mine is in a good cyber security unit and he talked me into getting back in and joining his unit. I'm already working on my promotion packet and getting information together to eventually go warrant.

The 4Runner is running great. However, I still have a junk tire on the back. I pulled one out of my spare pile that will go on it once the shop is clear. Right now there are just too many parts spread out from the car to really get much done. After the car is out, I am going to mount the tire and mount the spare. Also, I got in the truck the other day and had no brakes. I found that the left rear brake was leaking a ton of fluid. I don't know if that was possibly caused by my tire issues at SCC or if maybe a brake component was causing the noise I was hearing. It may be bearing noise, but all of the bearings in the rear have less than 20k on them. They also see abuse though. I'll be pulling the axle apart when I get the yota in the shop. I also plan on doing rear discs as well.

I also sold the blue toyota.

Merry belated Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Happy new year 2 U 2

did you go with the euro update on the
TDI or just left it chain?

I actually went with the full balance shaft delete after reading lots of reviews online. It seems to be the most reliable fix with varying reports of vibration. I'm used to vibration at idle so I'm not worried about that. It doesn't seem like it will cause any mechanical issues either. It also saves me over $1000 on parts :)

I accidentally broke the rear seal when pulling the pan. Now I have to deal with that...

Happy New Year All:cheers:

Happy New Year to the BSLCA Family, Cheers!
