we'll have to start taking the bikes then. I've been looking and am going order one today. 
I saw Hans Rey do trials riding once, that was cool.
He does some crazy stuff.

Man, those FMX guys got up there. I am surprised it was concrete on the floor, I would have thoguth they would have brought in some nice soft (relatively speaking ) dirt to break there falls.
...suspect story makes for suspect vehicle...bezel is 79 or later, desert camouflage paint job for trip to Central/South America? Last I checked there are no deserts in Central or South America and that car would have stuck out like a sore thumb in the jungles and roads down there. That thing hasn't been past Houston zip codes after that ugly camouflage paint job. If I were a rhino I would ram the darn thin out of principle!

Guys, I am close to getting my frame/axles/etc to a local sandblaster so I need to have paint ready. I had in mind using a black gloss or semi-gloss paint to give it a polished look. However I have read matte withstands scratches better. I do not plan to ride this truck in hardcore off-road conditions and thus I'm leaning to a glossier look. Any comments, opinions or personal preferences based on your own experience(s)?

4. He'd have to discount me $19.95 so I could go and by some Krylon to paint that ugly MoFo.

I'm into numbers tonight for some reason...
1. Look at a bunch of each... pic whichever you like
2. Bet the guy w/ a matte finish said that about the matte finish
3. Bet both are the same in w/ standing marks etc..
4. Personally, I like the gloss. IMHO mind you.
6. Unless you raise it 6 inches no one will notice
7. Bet both (either) would look awesome and better than all of ours.

I like the gloss Ricardo, my Dad works in the old field and gave me a couple gallons of this red primer they use on oil field equipment. He said they also paint it on the bottom of barges and ships. After blasting it I used it to seal the frame and then sprayed gloss rustoleum as a top coat. The frame sat in the weather for a bit while I made room in the barn moving all the body parts and engine around until I collected all the parts. This was before internet ordering and had to fax my orders to Specter and Manafre. The short story the sun took the gloss out of the paint and really baked it on so it had the matte look afterwards. I did wheel it regulary after the build with a local Bronco club in Forest Hills but the frame 12 years later still looks the same and will be headed back down to my shop for a 2nd resurrection in its next life as a trail rig.
I have a frame kits from these folks with the gloss black to try out, talked to the guy there and sounds like a great product.

Weren't really bad rims, I just wouldn't put anything like that on a cruiser again. I rather the stock look over the bling bling as my kids refer to it.

The stock look MADE it through some serious terrain at the SCC....styling thru the rubble...LOL...also, looks like widened stock rims on the ROTW FJ40 on 4wheel magazine....very nice....
Sent the original hubcaps (complete set) home with Isaac....he can swap the old ones on and wheel the hell out of it...then put the new ones back on....
PS: Regarding Larry's old wheel above, just my .02 but they'd look great on a Scion.
