I said "A" talented welder. I wasn't refering to me, the welding I can do talented I wouldn't go that far to say that. If you want your body panels straight you don't want me doing it.

the "war pig" has landed, comming from parts unknown.....keep your children and small animals off of main thoroughfares. kick ass truck i am very pleased. the riot and i went and met up on my way in at magruders. replaced a burnt headlamp so far. the riot found a couple of problemas:

the engine needs a valve cover gasket kit.

the clutch needs either a new master or a slave needs some adjusting the pedal is just to low.

other than those two really glaring problems everything is just nit picky s***. the list of goodies that have been installed on this truck reads like a true land cruiser junkie's wish list i won't even start it.

thanks again corey!

corey and i went straight to the four wheel parts warehouse i purchased a 60" hi lift and a gorilla lug wrnech. i wasn't about to get caught without either on a flat on I 10.

Sweet... Now post up the pics ...and start making the list of goodies it has. Can't wait to see it in person.

...at least it didn't catch fire!

Bx

the list
safari gaurd winch bumper/brush guard
unknown winch
hella 3000's
shackle reversal
four inch man a fre safari lift
rear anti inversion shackles
old man emu shocks/steering stabilizer
fake ass bead locker rims (5)
35" bfg mt's
38 mm weber
man a fre header
aftermarket muffler and exhaust (minus the catalytic converter)
a non usa distributor (the riot noticed imediately of course)
high performance coil
snorkeled (but install is not complete)
tuffy console

it now proudly flies bslca decal and tlca decals

purchased today
60" high lift
gorilla lug wrench

it is as if all i wanted to ever do to a 60 series (except a rear bumper and tire carrier soon enough) was just answered in one fail swoop.

the fella i purchased it from did not build it. he has had the truck since jan '06. whoever built this thing spent some time and money doing it. i feel fortunate to be the lucky new owner of such a nice machine. all the componenets work very well together. even with 202,000 and some change on the clock it has a lot of power. i believe that the engine has had some head work done.

i am gonna stop mentioning the price it seems to good to be true.

Great to hear Dan, Congrats again I can't wait to see it. A good weekend coming up to get to know it a little better in Sicily. :D

New School - Old School

Today I was on Kaliste getting ready to turn on Camelia Blvd. to go to OLF. In front of me was a very nice 100 series. When he passed me, he never noticed me, never checked the rig out, no Cruiser bond, nothing. So I'm waiting there, and coming from the other direction is our STM member driving his black FJ 40. Got the Cruiser wave from him. Three LC drivers, but only two of them "got it".

Have a good day boys.

I must be easy to impress

I just checked me email and had a Happy birthday message form ih8mud. I was thrilled that someone knew it was my birthday, then realised it was just an automatic thing everybody gets. LOL I am really tired of working graveyard shift, messes with my mind.
