Pretty much what I expected as well but I was very very hopeful that it would be OUTRAGEOUS. IPOR doesn't look so bad now.. but still too high

That's what I'd expect from a place whose rigs start at....wait, why don't I just quote it:
(taken directly from CCOT site)
"CCOT's "Show Quality" FJ40s equipped with AC, Power Steering and more, range in price from $39,800 to $49,800"

and are notorious for containing a substantial amount of Aftermarket Taiwnese, etc parts versus genuine Toyota replacement parts. Granted, some of their parts are OKAY, heck, I love their HFS stuff! And I'm GRATEFUL for them reproducing things Toyota no longer makes, but in the past, I heard horrible stories about some of their restorations...and most of it the poor quality of the aftermarket junk they use....if you're gonna charge those kind of prices, give people the best. For that kind of money, I'd consider getting another tub, having it galvanized and coated...industrial style!

Anyways, I guess we've come a LONG ways from https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=64377&highlight=panama+tubs
and I know steel prices are WAY up....but 8-9k sounds overboard IMHO.

That one on ebay is nice too...there's a nice "FJ45" pickup that's actually an HJ45 on Ebay right now...pretty nice. It's LHD.
I'd prefer 1978, curious to see what it goes for....it IS an HJ45 and not an FJ45 BTW....

I'm with ya. 1. LHD, LHD, LHD. 2. Diesel. However, some come along at a good price and almost "too good" to pass up. We'll see.

I've been "Schwingerized"

This is the napkin I found on my truck outside work this pm. Turns out the Schwings are propagating again....hang on.

Good seeing you A.

I've been wanting to stop by and drop a note on your truck - one for illegal parking under the covered drive and another when you park at an angle and take up two spots! LOL. Then I figured you'd try to take me out in a couple of weeks when school starts.

PS: I know where Armond will be at 3:30 tomorrow if you want to pay him back.

:lol:That's hilarious..nothing like a good laugh and choking on coffee early in the AM....you guys crack me up...seems like Seth's cruisers always fetch about 15-16k...they're always pretty tight too...

Edit: If you live in Lafayette, please remember to exercise your voting right Saturday.

Before anyone gets the wrong impression from Scott's e-mail, yes the Schwing family is growing again, but it's my brother and his wife who just had their second child - a beautiful baby girl. The three I have are enough for me. Scott was good enough to rescue me from the waiting room for some private cruiser talk in the doctors' lounge. He is even kinder to use the :princess: emoticon to describe the Mrs. Her interruption was anything but "princessly." It was more like "BROOMRIDER!" See you guys tomorrow.

Dad put in the Durabak this weekend. He did a good job, but he said he should have bought a second gallon. At a $144 a gallon thats a $300 liner. I plan to order the red and do it this winter.

Is that sprayed in?

He rolled it Corey, Most of the poly based paint and undercoating is very difficult to spray unless you have the guns for that type of coatings. ALso rolled teh POR15 as well you need a pack of rollers as that stuff starts to get tacky it turns rock hard.
