Okay Josh, now let's here what you learned from this experience. That place and those drivers are insane. I need to go out there and see this live.

Cool vid buddy.

Next year I am going to go but just as a spectator. I am still finding mud under my truck that needs to get out. I think my passenger side seat is ruined from my little brother.

So what is going on up in here. Sorry it has been so long since I posted last. It has been a crazy month. I hope everyone is well. Deryl

Will someone share with me the trick to insert a photo(s) into a messsage? I have some pics I took this past week at Wimberley 4WD in New Brunfels, TX of some LCs they were working on.

click on Post Reply then scroll down to Manage Attachments. browse your computer for your pictures and then click upload; however, your pictures need to be smaller then 150kb if i remember correctly. once uploaded you can post your reply then they'll show up.

edit: you have a star, so i dont know if that size limit applies to you

You have to resize the pics to 120K or less even with a star there is just no limit to the amount of pics you can post with a star :)

IMHO is like Landry said, buy a star...cheap for the return.

Then, go to photbucket (PB) (www.photobucket.com) and sign up and upload your pics to whatever folders you make. In PB, under all the pics are 3 different file types to describe your photo. Copy the "IMG" file and paste those in your posts.

No resize really necessary (I think).

Good luck! Now post up some so we can see em.

Spent a week there once...never forget it...bought my rig there...heard they were working on diesel alot lately...any word on that?

Been to Wimberly several times. They always have a few cruisers there. My father-in-law lived up at Canyon Lake before he passed away so I would always stop by Wimberly 4WD when I was in the area. Heck I went by there about a month ago when my daughter was playing in a soccer tourney in San Antonio. They usually list their vehicles on collectorcartrader.com BTW, that's a good source for older cruisers and it's not as overvisited as most sites that have cruisers for sale. I'd bet there are at least 50 40s on there right now.

...collectorcartrader.com ....

Sweet site... bunch of cruisers and some look to be very fair prices for them. Couple of 78's and even an 82 I think...

Those guys are Daniel and Don...brothers...alot of posts on Pirate bad about them, but I had a pleasant experience...they took me out to eat in Austin every night I was down...they pass thru LA every year for Daytona...we should have an event and invite them.

One brother was all into Euro sports cars, etc. The other cruisers. They treated me great.

I just got my OME J-springs in, and castor correction kit, and my front mud guards to tie in the fender (which I'll likely remove later) since I removed the running boards. Just waiting on SHOCKS and steering dampener now!

Got a question. I've always considered getting and installing a Safari Snorkel. It's not that I intend to do much deep water crossing, but I do think they look awesome and I am under the impression that there is some value in having a higher intake point because the air might be a bit cooler/cleaner. Do I have to cut my quarter panel? Do I have to drill into my quarter panel? Probably stupid questions, but hell I really don't know and that information will help me decide where this project gets placed in order or priority. Thanks.
