Thanks for posting Mike, it was a good write up Cole nice job. Thats the beauty of this site. With folks doing these write ups you know what parts work and don't so you can save time and money. I would have paid for some of this advice on my first build. I wasted countless $ just trying things, I did have a buddy who would buy most of my tossed items which wound up on the yellow 78 we were building for him :lol:
 
Fellas, remember the deer hunting transport vehicle I showed you all? Well my buddy at the ranch just sent me the following pictures of the new Deer Stand there at the Ranch. I can;t wait for the next card game.......er, deer hunt.

BSLCA Movie Review :rolleyes:

Took Holden to see Transformers last night was pretty awesome I enjoyed it thoroughly as did Holden. We were waiting for it for sometime and took me back in time when I was a tranformer fan myself.

Some other good movies we say on vacation.

Evan Almighty very funny and safe for the youngens.
Ratatouille great movie for both adults and youngens.
Fantastic 4 Silver Surfer good but worth waiting to rent.

The kids went with the grandparents to see surf's up and they like it alot.

It is sad... I have been looking forward to the transformers movie since I heard about it almost two years ago. I have read the prequil novel, I have the novilisation of the movie but am waiting to read it after I watch the movie, and I own all but 4 of the toys from the movie line...

Anyone know of a betty ford center, or a 12 step program for geeks?
 
Transformers were after my time but I think the boy and I will catch it this weekend or Pirates 3.

Surf's up musta said "crap" and "peckerhead" 10x and then one bird PEE'd on another!!!! lol. ... Coulda done w/o the 5 y/o asking, "What's a peckerhead, what's a peckerhead!".

Well, I just got my new Toyota Trails. Guess what chapter is front and center with the first report in the Chapter Report section? That's right, the good 'ol BSLCA. Great job with the report Marty. I think it really shows that our little chapter is serious about doing some good things and being an active TLCA affiliate. I hope all of you get your mag soon and are as proud as I was to see our first report in print.
 
Breaux Tire 2nd annual mudride pics.

Well guys I am afraid I did not represent the club very good today. Alot of you know I am new to offroading but I have NEVER seen mud like this before. I saw trucks getting stuck that had only sunk about 3 inches into the mud, you could see half of their sidewalls!.
I hit the mud three times, the first time got stuck and had to wait about 20 min for a good Samaritan to pull me out. Second time I didnt want o get abck into the mud, but the property owner said I could not pass on the levee to get back to the front of the property and I had to cross back across the property to the OTHER levee so that I could get to the front. Made it within 30 feet of the other side of the field and then sunk to the hubs. For about half an hour the only one willing to pull me was a damn Yamaha Rhino... thats right an ATV. They had a Camaro on a blazer from with a 454 on 44" boggers making hotlaps around the place and the only one who could take the time to help me was an ATV. Amazingly he pulled me until I got to the levee, but because of another guy being stuck in roughly the same spot I had to wait for him to be pulled first by a guy in a 2006 dodge with a cummins.

I will never loan a strap on the trail again to a non member. He jerked on this guys chevy so hard that he nearly rolled it over on its side. I wish i had pics or video of this it was so insane. He nearly broke the eye out of my strap, before he ever tried to pull me out.

After getting pulled out I drove down the levee till a bunch of guys had parked there truck all crooked and I had to try and skirt around them, slid in the field stuck again.


I am going to spare you the rest of the gory details and the other time I got stuck and almost hit by the guy pulling me after dragging me though the whole mudpit. I am honestly glad none of you decided to show up because i think I had enough "fun" for all of us.

After all the fun I had being pulled around like a toy (pun intended) and having the guys in chevy/ford/dodges and even one toyota making fun of me openly about having a truck that sucks, (lets see them fit their trucks or camaro through Paradice)plus the hour and a half I got to make love to a pressure washer while cleaning my truck off, and out. I honestly think I mean it now when I say... IH8MUD!!!:flipoff2:

Great to see, and its gettting more exciting with every passing month. With new members signing up every week I see many good times to come. I thank you all for making it a rewarding journey. Great write up Marty :cheers:

But you wheel what you got available :D for us around here it's MUD. But one day I hope when I retire it will be like that picture but with a small boat and doing some fishing and camping along with trail riding. I guy can dream right ??
