Love your rig man. I am in the process of finding a black LX in good condition now. I had already planned to go in the direction you went. Are the tires you got the biggest you can run on a stock suspension vehicle.

At least on the LX, 285/75/16 is about as big as you can go. Running the same size using BFG AT KO2's to excellent effect. Will say that I have not noticed too much difference in terms of power, but mileage and speedo accuracy have been affected. Believe the same size constraints apply to the LC, but not 100% positive.

Looks great! Why did you go with MTR's? I am overwhelmed with the choices but those look great. Are they good in the snow?

Thanks! I went with the MTRs because, for me, it came down to: "when far out in the thick of things, what tire do I really want."

Mainly because they were well-received all over the yota world, the kevlar sidewalls, and their performance on the rocks and in mud. They've been excellent off road for me. Their on-road manners aren't half bad for an aggressive tire.

I'll likely get them again, just in a bigger size next time around (hopefully).

Yes, tons of choices. Best of luck in your decision.

I'm in California so they've only seen one snow trip. Anecdotally, they handled everything I threw at them on that trip.
