For sale is a 2018 Free Spirit Recreation (FSR) Overlander trailer, the FSR M60 Adventure series roof top tent (RTT), and numerous improvements to both.
The base trailer is sold by CapIt for $8500, plus about $500 for freight & PDI, plus tax, for a total of about $10,080.
The trailer has Timbren axle-less suspension and 18" of ground clearance. Manufactured in the USA, this is a quality unit that will go absolutely anywhere your truck will.
The M60 tent is no longer available, but the closest (smaller) option (M55) is sold by CapIt for $2290 plus tax, for a total of $2560.
The M60 tent is a real gem and it's a shame you can no longer get it. The extra 5" of width (for a full queen-size bed of 60" x 80") makes a huge difference (I've had a 55"-wide tent before) and goes from tolerable to completely comfortable for two adults. You can even sleep two adults and a child without an issue.
Total retail price for the two items will be over $12,640, and that's with the smaller tent and before any of the following upgrades.
1. The tongue bar was replaced with a 24" longer one. This greatly improves highway towing performance. Original tongue bar (with 2" ball coupler, trailer jokey wheel) is included.
Cost: $200.
2. A custom, 1/4" aluminium platform was bolted-on to the front of the trailer, and a slider was installed in the passenger-side door to provide super easy access to the cooler inside.
Cost: $700.
3. RTIC 65QT cooler added to the slide-out platform. Cooler includes two baskets, plus centre divider tray (which can be used as a cutting board).
Cost: $410 for cooler, $270 for the two baskets and divider.
4. Matching spare wheel, with matching spare tire, secured to front aluminium platform.
Cost: $450.
5. Metal tongue box, secured to aluminium platform.
Cost: $80.
6. A 5kw diesel heater installed in the tongue box.
Cost: $230.
7. Four custom, stainless-steel feet/risers to elevate the tent from the trailer.
Cost: $180.
8. Two 1475mm-long Front Runner Outfitters cross bars, four Front Runner tent-mounting brackets.
Cost: $390.
9. Cargo basket.
Cost: $200.
10. License plate relocation + Trasharoo on the rear door.
Cost: $60.
11. Jerry can holder (jerry can not included).
Cost: $50.
12. 10lb propane tank.
Cost: $60.
13. Propane tank mounting bracket.
Cost: $170.
14. Fully articulating Max coupler. 6000lb, bolt-on version.
Cost: $415.
15. ARK XO Extreme Jockey Wheel.
Cost: $420.
16. Electric brakes, new 7-pin wiring harness.
Cost: $460.
17. Queen-size, 2"-thick, gel memory foam mattress topper.
Cost: $105.
These upgrades (totalled at $4850, before any labour!) make this a truly ready-to-go trailer. Hitch up on Friday evening and head out camping without any packing. A single person sets the tent up in just two minutes.
Everything is in good condition, 100% functional, with only minor signs of use.
The entire setup would cost $17,490 CAD to reproduce. Selling for $13,600 CAD.
Reason for sale is that we are wanting to upgrade to a larger unit sometime next year. In no rush to sell, low-ball offers will be ignored. We camp year-round, and will continue to use the trailer until sale.
Trailer can be viewed in Vernon, BC. Willing to deliver up to 2hrs drive away (deposit + coverage of gas expenses required).
