I'm having my new set of 285 Revos put on in the morning. $821 for a set of 5, mounted, balanced, out the door. It's another $125 for the road hazard warranty. It's supposed to cover off road damage and be pretty painless. If one goes bad and the diameter isn't in spec to replace just one tire, they say they'll pro-rate the other tires to put a matched set on.
Anybody have experience with the Bridgestone/Firestone RH warranty? It sounds pretty similar to the Discount Tire certs. I know there are people who weigh in on the relative merit of any sort of insurance like this, but I'm really looking for experiences with this company. People who like the Discount certs seem to REALLY like it and have had good experiences.
I've beat the crap out of my Toyo ATs in just a few offroad trips, and I really haven't done anything all that hardcore. I'm not excited about spending $900 on tires again for a very long time.
