i find your questions and the posts here interesting. I had my rotors turned a little over a year ago. Put new Toy pads on and the rotors only lasted 6,000 miles before my steering wheel was shacking again. Finally, ordered new OEM rotors and pads from the mighty cdan, and did a complete Birf job while i was at it. I have been driving on the new rotors for about 9,000 miles and i don't have any steering wheel shack, but i am noticing a pulsating feeling when coming to a stop. I am not sure what to think of this. I know that when i put everything back together, i used the FSM to torque every bolt to spec. Now, this pulsating is not bad, but i am a bit worried that it will worsen. I don't feel the pulsating in the steering wheel, or brake pedal but the entire truck seems to pulse to a stop (in other words, if my sunglasses are hanging from my rear view mirror and i come to a stop, they will swing due to this pulsating). I just don't know what to think. Hopefully it's nothing and won't get worse. But if it does............i'll be surely pissed.

Did you put new rotors on all 4 corners? It could be a back rotor or pads.

Have you tried a complete brake fluid flush ? (that is, unless you're absolutely positive that no air introduced when converting to stainless steel lines or squeezing the calipers' pistons).

I think Beo might have hit on it: I had a very similar experience, by your description. The condition got worse and, in the end, it turned out the rear rotors both had excessive run out (Read: warped).

Fortunately, they are very easy to get off (just lift off the calipers...) and have measured. I tried to measure them with a the dial indicator I have, but it's really difficult to get an accurate measurement unless you have shop equipment.

When i had the rotors turned, it was front only. So far the back rotors have been fine, just put new OEM pads on. So new rotors were only put up front.

I did do a complete brake fluid flush, and now have valvoline syn in there. I put on the stainless lines and new brake rotors at the same time.

I guess you guys could be correct about it being the back rotors, but dang i thought that most people feel that so long as you have kept the pads changed and not turned them they should last as long as the truck.
 
Sounds like pads' material built up then. I don't know if it helped or not, but when I do a pads swapping, I spray the rotors with brake cleaner and run a fine grit sandpaper across the outer and inner surfaces in prevention of this from occuring.
