Just finally got around to installing my SP slotted rotors and SP pads (front only). While I'm impressed with the total lack of vibration / noise from the slotted rotors (I don't know why I expected to be able to feel and/or hear them), if you're planning on doing this upgrade, I recommend that you DO NOT get the SP pads they recommend as a set! My experience has been that, until they warm up SUBSTANTIALLY, they just do not stop well at all!

I contacted SP Performance, and since they only sell one compound formulation, I'm gonna have to throw these away and get another brand of pads......anyone have a brand of pad they'd recommend? (one that will actually stop the car the first time you hit the brakes from cold) I thought about going back to OEM, but I'm wondering if there are others out there I should consider (seems like that's what got me in the shape I'm in, huh?)

I was thinking about trying the front Hawk LTS pads mentioned here.

I'll be able to give you a first hand report in about a month (see link) after the drive train is put back together :D

ART guys told me their Porterfield pads (carbon and kevlar versions) work instantly...no warm up issue...and also in rain/wet conditions: We'll see!
