Tell me I’m not crazy. I’ve gone back and forth with my mechanic about the level and fluctuation of the fluid in the reservoir. I have 2 other Toyotas and neither have a level above the MAX fill line. I read somewhere if you turn the key to AC Start and pump the brake pedal 30x, the fluid will drop. After cycling through the pedal procedure, it lands at the MAX line. My concern with the overfill is too much pressure on the system, potential overwear on the pads, etc. but he assures me it will not harm anything. How many out there have fluid above the Max line? Should I just siphon out the excess fluid?

Thank you. I missed the fine print;). The system is cool (parked all day). I siphoned off the fluid above the max line, did the recommended 40 pumps/ignition off and it remained ay the max line. Hopefully my daily driving the last 3,000mi didn’t cause any damage.

I have it above max mark for past 15k miles. I never heard any excessive pressure or vacuum when removing the cap.
