Hey gang,

I need to replace the hard line that goes from the DS caliper(hose) to the "T" valve on the PS of the diff. Anyone know what diameter these hard lines are?

Thanks,

I double-flare 3/16 brake line, and use the correct metric fitting.(6x1.00mm I think) and make my own, not that big of a deal...

Good luck!

Steve,

Thanks for the info. I was looking at just buying a precut piece w/the correct fittings. My only question was what is the diameter?

Are the stock lines 3/16?

I want to match to stock, because every other piece is stock and I don't want two different size lines in the system.

Thanks,

Ryan

Then I would go OEM.

Good luck!

Steve,

Once again thanks, but they are no longer available...at least that is what the dealer says.

I checked S@R too and no luck.

How far are you from Butch's shop?

I can not believe that he could not help you with this, unless you are after the the unobtainable...

Good luck!

Steve,

45 min to 1hr...not too far, and to be honest I haven't hit the LSLC list w/this. I can buy the line and bend it myself, I know what the length is and the size of the fittings...I just don't know what the diameter is.

I guess I just figured that one of the parts gurus on the board would know off hand....honestly I didn't think that this would be a big deal at all.

Thanks,

Ryan

It is really damn close to 3/16", and I would bet that if you were to put a caliper on the pre fabbed, generic lenght brake lines that have metric fittings already on them, that it would be the same. If you have the fittings, and a double flare kit, I would make it myself. Owning the early land cruisers, pre 72, where the brake line fittings sizes changed twice, required me to learn how to make brake lines, in order to keep things remotely close to stock. I now own all the possible fittings that Toyota used on the brake system, so that on Sunday night, when I need to make a line, I can.

Good luck!

Steve,

Thanks, I will see what I come up with.
