Been slowly leaking fluid on my 84 fj60 but when the weather dropped to freezing temperatures, i had a huge puddle of fluid underneath where the master cylinder sits. The leak appears to be coming from the reservoir but my question is if its coming from an o-ring or something that contracts in cold whether inside the MC/reservoir?

Any advice is always appreciated

fill the master, check where it is leaking from.
chances are you need a new master. they can be rebuilt, but it usually does not hold up, unless they are honed too.

its leaking right underneath the reservoir and this MC is probably 2 yrs old......can i just replace components in the reservoir or do you really think the whole MC needs to be replaced?

I've never had the need, but I bet you could either scab used sealing grommets or buy new ones from a vendor. I'm referring to the grommets that seal the reservoir to the MC.
