Oh, oh, oh 1/8 banana mechanic - that sounds like me. May be helpful reading even tho it's for a 100. hehehe

Goody goody. Thanks. Great. - - (1/1 banana)

Is there a secret decoder ring for the fractional banana mechanic/job rating scale?

I gather that a small fraction, like 1/8 banana, implies that one is, say, only a part-time knuckle-buster, doing a job like changing plugs, while a larger fraction like 1/4 or 1/2 banana implies greater skill and larger jobs like the timing belt. Does 1/1 banana cover things like rebuilding engines?

Is there a 3/2 banana, or higher, rating, as might be expected then for the mechanic e.g. rebuilding drag race engines between runs, while they are still so hot from a run that he has to wear super heat-resistant gloves to keep from burning his hands?

The fractions refer to how many green bananas you have time to drink before the job is done. Therefore: a time measurement.
