Bought a used 2008

This is my first post but I've been lurking for a while. I want to thank you guys for sharing your experiences with me. You taught me a lot.

I just bought a used 2008 Land Cruiser from the local Lexus dealer. It was in nearly perfect condition and had only 20,000 miles.

On my test drive I heard the clunk on acceleration from a stop. But it was just a small clunk and happened only once. So I looked at the drive shaft and saw that it hadn't ever been greased. The Lexus dealer greased it for me. After 600 miles of mostly city driving I haven't heard it again.

Besides daily driving I will use it for pulling my 23 foot travel trailer and for light four wheeling. I plan to get 33 inch ATs and an OME lift soon.

Congrats! Color, options, etc? Pictures would be great. How is the 381 hp?

Yes, the 381 hp is very nice. It seems like a strong 381 hp, maybe because it revs so easily and so quietly. It should tow my 5000lb trailer much easier than my old Hemi Durango.

The Land Cruiser has the usual upgrade package with navigation and rear seat entertainment. It also has wheel locks, remote start, glass break sensor and dealer installed window tint. I could have done without all of those except the window tint, but Toyota only sells them loaded.
