So I got a glow shift 3 in one gauge with EGT ,Water Temp ,and Boost got eh EGT and Water Temp hooked up and want to hook up the boost. Now I know I can hook a vacuum line up to the usual spot but this is not a vacuum gauge unit. My question is what is the best pipe to drill and tap to hook this unit up too.
Thanks guys
David

what do you mean not a vacuum gauge unit

Is this the gauge you're referring too?

My boost gauge is a typical one plumbed to a nipple on my intake elbow, however my intake elbow before my manifold has provisions for a 1/8 NPT fitting. In my case I used 1/8 NPT to vacuum line adapter.

I reckon you can do something similar with the one in this kit. Just tap a 1/8 NPT hole in your manifold or somewhere right before it.

Not sure what your setup looks like so sharing a picture of your engine bay/intake would probably help in finding a solution faster as well as other options for where to tap a hole.

It's interesting the type of interface they used, although I suppose it declutters the space by having the fitting directly attached to the sensor.

If it's the kit I linked to in my other comment it doesn't use a vacuum line from intake manifold to boost sensor. It uses a threaded sensor instead, removing the need to run a vacuum line, just the wires to the gauge itself.

manifold is the best place to see what the cylinders are seeing, but in the turbo housing or right after will tell you what the turbo is actually pushing.... these two numbers arent always the same, so it depends on what you think is more important to monitor.... cylinder pressure or the work the turbo is doing

You want it off the manifold to measure manifold pressure, so find a port that’s open to manifold and run the line off that. If it’s an electric sensor you might have to drill and tap for pipe thread.

Yes that’s the gauge I have here is the boost sensor that comes with the kit. Motor is a 3.0 1kztz
