Hi all

I was wanting to know your ideas for stopping the bonnet boucing on its worn pins.

The pins I mean are in the hinges, it bounces all over the place, and makes heaps of noise...

Any ideas?

For a quick repair, or just easy fix, cut a piece of fuel hose and put it in the rain gutter right under the hood hinge. When the hinge shuts, the hose forces it up against the worn pin, eliminating rattles.

Bonnet = Hood

Hood = Convertible top

Boot = Trunk(?)

Veddy British, you know.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

I might try the hose idea for now, untill I can find a decent wrecker here is Victoria Aus...

If the bonnet is the hood? Whats the hard top? I used to have an MGB Midget and the book I had on it called the roof the bonnet.
