so does anybody else know of a good shop in town (phoenix) that will deal with things like rust removal, panel replacement, etc? i know most of the regular body shops only want to deal with insurance claims and fender benders.
then again, i guess i should just pull the trigger and buy a welder and see if i cant make it any worse all by myself!

They don't handle restorations that I know of, but they do good bodywork and paint, if you're just looking for someone competent. He's a 4x4 guy, likes to mod things, so he might be sympathetic to your cause. However, it's been years since I talked to him, don't even know if he still owns the place or not.
