Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a shop that can replace the quarter/rocker panels on my FJ60 and do a full respray... Unfortunately every shop that I have inquired with has denied due to either the amount of work involved or just not wanting to do any self-pay work with the high volume of insurance work they have coming in right now.

Anyone have any suggestions for a good shop in Virginia? I don't mind traveling for the right shopo, but I am located in the Harrisonburg area.

Thanks

@DirtMcgirt79 @captainva Normally I would but i am not taking on any larger body repair jobs until my new shop is built and i have more room to work. i can unfortunatly say what you being told is true, my shop is in the same boat. We really arent taking any self-pay work either due to the insurance volume. For that matter once they hear what it would cost to repair they normally end up going through insurance anyway.

I can recommend a shop that does top notch work but i'd be curious to know what you budget is. Both sides rocker and quarter replacement and a full respray I'm thinking you would be north of 18 grand. I believe he has an 8-9 month waiting list as well

$18k is an eye watering cost...but I believe it with the amount of work required

ya a good respray on a vehicle now-a-days will run you about 10 alone, of course there is always someone that will do it cheaper but it falls under the category of "you get what you pay for"

Yeah, agreed that $18K does sound a little higher than I was hoping for. However, I do realize that prices have increased on everything, so expect body work would fall right in line.

I appreciate the feedback.
