I was having a rough time finding John's place... I know where Trans Tech is but I thought the only thing on Styling Ln was a hairstylist. Today I noticed that there is a garage behind the stylist. I'm guessing that's him?John Bewersdorf on Hwy 78, Styling Ln. He is very close to Royle Rd. 843-509-0320 H'e next to the Transmission Tech shop.

I thought you liked your Patina?I need to ride up and have him look at my PIG.
His cost is about 4x what Maaco wants to charge me, but I kind of expected it would be...
I dont mind a patina to a point. I am more concerned with the spreading of rust. These Pigs EASILY compared to a 40. that is why there aren't many around because they have all rusty away, or to the point of no return and its too expensive to repair. So, given the salty air and humid here, I figure that the rust will really take off before long.I thought you liked your Patina?

I'm not really sure. He said he'd be removing all glass and that I have to supply all new gaskets and weatherstripping. Both are planning to weld new metal in rather than chemical treat and Bondo.Huh, I wonder how much prep work difference the two quotes varies by.
Are you having the inside painted, also? If so, let me know when the disassembly party starts !
Removing the glass is a must for me so they can make those window channels like new. It's very important to the vehicle. The only problem I will have with my Pog is that the gaskets are no longer available. To have them made cost $2300 for complete window gasket kit. That also include rubber for everywhere else, i.e.: door handles, side mirrors, markers ect ect ect.
