Repairing a 97 Land Cruiser and need a hood and left front fender. Will all 80 series panels fit and attach regardless of model year? Will my undamaged inner fender parts align and attach with outers from other model years? Found 1994 salvage parts and want to be certain they will work prior to pulling the trigger. Hood should be all years 91-97. Front Fenders are more specific. You would want a 95-97 fender. Has to do with alterations on the flares I believe.

Greetings!

I just bought a 1994 LC 80. The only panel I am not going to be able to continue with is the upper rear hatch (with the glass). It has the typical rust under the glass that is too far gone.

Can anyone confirm for me that any rear hatch from 1991-97 will work? What about Lexus LX450?

You should be ok. I have a hatch from a '93 or '94 on my '96 LX. No fitment issues, only difference was the older one didnt have the upper spoiler, but could be added with a couple nutserts.

Valence and grilles are different between the model years- different grilles and headlights in 93+.
Upper hatches are interchangeable, however, later model have a different third brake light. Otherwise, body parts are interchangeable, with minor differences in cladding and flares.
Hoods, doors, bodies are all interchangeable, all model years, and all models.
There are minor differences in various cladding and stick-on options in models, but generally, interchangeable. VRX models for instance have door cladding on the bottom third of the door that are removable, they're held on with double sided tape. Same doors as US spec
Lexus parts are interchangeable, however, they had more cladding too, and more holes for the cladding mounts, in fenders and doors. Can be swapped and holes filled in, for non-LX models.

Panels are interchangeable, however, wiring and electronics are more model year specific. If you swap doors or panels, keep the original internal parts, so you can use them. You can splice newer harnesses, however, it's easier to swap older internals into newer panels.

I've parted several rigs of various model years, and have a whole collection of parts from newer model year rigs with plugs or slight differences to parts that make them a pain to swap- I could splice harnesses or rewire parts to work, if needed. Keep in mind, I've parted three from 91 & 92, and 2 from 95+. The newer internals can be made to work, just requires more work.

Hey everyone! First post here but I've been a lurker on the site for a long time. I'm doing some body work on my '94 and bought a used hood off of a guy near me since my original one had some good denting from an accident in it's past (I'm the 5th owner of this beast).

Anyways, I got the hood on and for the life of me could not get it to adjust right to sit into the latch . After some fighting with the hood, I noticed that the hook on the hood itself is completely different compared to the original hood. The more squared hood hook is the original and the more rounded is the used hood. Is the used one I got from a different year range and it wont work with the latch I have? If so, could I just get a new hood latch that will match with this used hood? Thanks!

I also replaced my rusted out LX hatch with an early LC hatch. No problem. If you use an LX hatch it wont have the holes in it for the Toyota badge on the left. Not sure if all 80 LC had that badge.
