Body mount chop?

Hey guys i'm new to this site. I have a black 08 FJ. It has the TRD supercharger, some 16" wheels 33" mtr's, rear locker, atrac, exhaust etc...

My problem is I get some rub with the new 33's and need to know how you guys did the body mount chop. I searched a ton on here and the blue forum and all the threads I could find where people asking for shops to do this. I have a driveway and tools and am more than willing to this. Any tips or hints anyone could give would be great.. Am I reading too much into this and should just start cutting until they fit? Thanks for any help.

Here's what I did

For the 33s, I only needed about 1/4" chopped.
It helps to have friends with tools and talent.

1) We used a plasma cutter to trim the body mount.
2) We ground the edges flush
3) Welded a piece of plate steel to fill the hole. Wanted to maintain the strength of the frame member and keep tons of crap from being packed into the frame member.
4) Ground the edges down to make it look pretty, sprayed with undercoat and black paint.
5) Voila! No rubbing.

at work a guy mad a few cuts on the sides and cut out a piece from the bottom then bent the spot that was rubbing so it touched the new moved back piece and re welded

Just finished. Everything went pretty smoothly lit up one of the mounts for a second but put it out before it was able to do any real damage. Thanks for the tips again guys made my day easier.
