This thing cleaned up nicely. Pulled everything off that needs to go to PowderKeg

Exhaust manifold output studs. One broke. One I can’t budge so it will likely break as well.

Compression is 125 across the board and it spins smooth as silk.

I need to find one of these engines... its Ideally what I would put back in mine.

Still no springs. So pissed. Totally killing my flow.
You act like you're the only one that's pissed. I NEED TO SEE PICTURES OF NOLEN DOING s***. 😆

I went to SOR fully expecting them to have these early intake gaskets and they don’t. Anyone?

Step one on this thing is to clean it up nicely to see what I’m working with. I got about 1/3 of a Shop Vac of dirt and rodents out of it

Next I pulled the interior out. Hosed it with Zepp orange

Then I took the pressure washer to town on it

Every time my package ends up in Hutchins, TX. it’s actually lost. Seriously, 3 times this has happened. I think it’s internal code for “where did we lose that package?”…

Hopefully this isn’t the case for you.

Sorry if I missed it, what’s your plan for fuel delivery? Do you have an SD40 carburetor or are you planning something else?

Yeah it has not moved since Wednesday. I took the bull by the horns and found a guy that ordered a kit and won’t need it for a few weeks and grabbed a front and a rear spring.

I’m back in business.

I have had an SD40 at @FJ40Jim for a few weeks. I’m hoping his timing lines up with mine on it all.

Long live carbs!
