Took a day off this thing yesterday and worked on an 80.

So the biggest issue right now is that Dobinsons sent my entire lift out at FedEx ground. 5 part numbers. 2 landed Friday and one spring Monday. I am missing a front spring and a rear spring.

Both missing rear springs are showing as not being scanned anywhere since last Thursday.

Second. The tie rods were supposed to have been delivered Friday. USPS dropped them somewhere just not here. Ordered more.

So I’ve been busying myself with small stuff.

I finished prepping the engine bay and cleaning. I discovered this part is broken and the cable is frozen. This is what activates the vacuum. Gonna be hard to find the knob and the sleeve.

Meanwhile the wizard is putting some metal back into the rear sill

If the “Wizard“ could put that work in a spray can and call it PFM, I’d buy a case…

Work in progress. The Wizard hates this work.

Dropped the Yokos off at my favorite tire guy. He uses a bubble balancer and he’s always spot on. While he was working I grabbed a local burger deep in the hood.

Knocking out some things while I am basically DOA without the springs to move forward in any big way.

Love that Toyota still has these small tail lights.

Adding my favorite part of a 40 build. My @lcwizard 1/2 tire carrier.

This truck had 3 good OG Acorns. Only had to buy a couple for the front hubs

Scooped out the material needed to get the bumperette back on

This thing cleaned up nicely. Pulled everything off that needs to go to PowderKeg

Exhaust manifold output studs. One broke. One I can’t budge so it will likely break as well.

Compression is 125 across the board and it spins smooth as silk.

What's the date stamp on that block? I'm curious because of the metal umbrellas on the valve springs.

I’ll look tomorrow. It’s a “Bass Tag” 67

This came out of the 67 fj45 pickup I built for his dad earlier in the year. Truck only had 46,000 fairly hard miles on it

Looks like an October 1966 motor. I think that’s the second mid- F135 motor that I’ve seen the details of that has those metal umbrellas.

Took the day off to get caught up on life.

Dentist. Grocery. AC charge for the 80. Home to be apprentice bitch while the Wizard rebuilt my welding table

The missing leaf springs should arrive tomorrow and big moves will happen

Stay tuned
