I was reading all that and didn’t realize it was all one day. Nice work! Curious, how do you like the wildwood proportion valve vs oem? I see them in city racer

Well I did not have any proportion system to work with so adding one meant going with one that is adjustable. The Toyota is set but it’s also set for Disc/drum

I'm always amazed at the difference clean makes; that's my excuse for taking forever to get anything done - I'm soaking rear shock bracket parts right now...

I spent the rest of the afternoon hooking up all the dopey linkages, then I got the flange on the Tcase and measured for a Tom Woods shaft.

Went to the rear and realized I needed to go ahead and get the new 11mm stud brake drum installed. No reason to do that without knocking out the parking brake job which always sucks

Old drum v new.

Old pads were kinda shot.

I think I post this every time but I always forget. The aftermarket shoes are too thick for the adjuster and the pins at the top. You need to grind them so the pin at the top can go deep enough for the C clip yo hit the groove.

Bottom they need to be thin enough so the adjuster will ride into them

Busy day so far. I ended up putting a spacer on the plastic fan to push it a little closer to the radiator. Not sure where it came from but I had it here. I also trimmed about 1/8” of the fan so it won’t be too close to the shroud.

Next I put the grill back on with the properly patina bezel via @Godwin

Wired it all up with a new Series 34 battery and added a @Coolerman fusible link. These early trucks had the harness direct to the starter with no link. I always add them now.

A quick check shows I have Low Beams. Hazards. Grill lights. Wipers.

None of the rear lights work. They are new so I’ll have to track down where the issue is

On that model do the fender lights not come on with the headlights? I know the bib lights are supposed to come on only in the first position.

The exhaust manifold studs busted off so the Wizard came out to remedy it

While he did that I made a clutch line and unplaced the new acorns. I also harvested something off the old motor. More on that tomorrow

Dunno. First click got me the bib lights. Second one they went out and the headlights came on.

That’s correct afaik, but the fender lights should come on with the headlights I think.
There are two spots for green/yellow on the fender bar. I bet I have them reversed or something.

Aren't the fender lights just turn signals? My latest rig is a '65 though.
