I’m about to start the install on an ARB bull bar on my ‘15 LX in a couple weeks. I still haven’t been able to come up with any pics of one on a ‘13-15 LX anywhere on the internet(if anyone has seen one, I’d appreciate pointing me in that direction). I hope/imagine the only real complication is going to be trimming the bumper cover.

I’ve been planning on putting my 30” Rigid bar between the uprights, but gauging from pics of TLCs, either hanging it from the upper bar, or mounting it flat on the bumper will both interfere, at least some, with the radar receiver behind the emblem. Does anyone know how clear the receiver’s view needs to be in order for it to still function?

I know a lot of people don’t like the radar cruise, but I’d still like for it to function, and I also don’t want to lose the Pre-collision functions.

Thanks!

I'll be watching this, though with different goals. I want to mount two round lights off brackets that will protrude through the grille and have the same concerns as you with the antenna.

My understanding is that if it's metal, it won't play nice with the radar antenna. However, for it to work correctly at the distances used by the system, it is a relatively narrow "cone" of radio waves that the system is worried about. I vaguely remember seeing a diagram of this cone somewhere in the past, but can't dig it up again. Also I'm not sure if the side to side angle is the same as the up-down, which seems like more your issue.

Wish I could help more, and if you find yourself in Austin shoot me a PM. There aren't very many firefighters with 200s.

I don't think this is especially helpful, but just FYI, if you block it, you will have annoying dash messages and idiot lights. And there is no way to turn them off (at least on my '13 LC). There is no mistaking it if you introduce a problem.

I’ll actually be performing the install at a friend’s shop in Selma in 2.5 weeks.

If I can’t get the Rigid bar to work, I’ll put it on my pickup and look into round lights. It looks like others have been able to get them to work without major issues.

I also need to figure out if I’m gonna need to remote mount my winch solenoid, like I did on my 100, so I can go ahead and order that kit from Warn.

The guys at my station only made a few comments about my new ride being a fancy Lexus. They weren’t too surprised, though, since I’d been driving a built 100 for as long as most of them have known me, and the buyer picked it up from the station when he flew in from GA for the purchase...What surprises me is that nobody has made mention about me driving a loaner 2020 RX for the past 2 weeks while the LX has been at the dealer.
