Hi all,

a mate of mine with a 3L patrol was telling me recently that blocked the EGR vavle on his engine. This has resulted in lower EGT and improved fuel economy.

I have a 2H turbo with an oil catch can setup and she is starting to run a bit hotter.

my question is will there be any adverse effects of blocking the EGR valve? Will I need to modify the oil catch catch setup? And can i expect the same results on my older engine?

Kind regards,

Deano

I believe your turbo it's after market since 2H are NA engines .. so you don't have ( I don't know any 2H who have ) EGR to deal with ..

I have an aftermarket turbo system, based on the 12HT. I have the intake manifolds from a 12HT.
