I read a thread about block heaters and can't seem to find it now. Long and short, I am looking for a block heater for my LJ78. In north Toronto in farm country without a garage so I think it will be prudent.

Any idea on the part number?

Other options? i.e. the radiator hose type - again, I read this in a posting some time ago but didn't save the post. Doh!

Thanks

PS I do recall that from a previous posting that the frost plug was behind the starter, is that the case on the LJ78? I am pulling the starter tomorrow to have it rebuilt... getting the dreaded clicking and have had it continue to over crank without stopping now a couple of times. On it's way out from my assessment.

Perhaps this should be a separate post.... thanks again.

I dont think the radiator hose type will help because of the thermostat position at the lower coolant inlet.
The 1HZ 1HD T have it in the same position and others report dismal results

I put an inline heater and it did not work just warmed the hose and not the truck.
If you put the block heater in it is under something on the left side (starter I think) LORDCO part number 3100019 400W block heater. I put mine in while appart and you use the rear plug on the block.
