Can anyone help me ID what's going on with my 2005 GX470? At the end of a 4-hour drive yesterday, I pull off the interstate and the ABS indicator started blinking, with the VSC OFF, VSC TRAC, and Anti Skid all on.

I plugged in my code scanner, but the GX didn't show any fault codes (I scanned it three times). The ABS light goes off as I drive, but comes on blinking when I'm stopped. The other three have stayed on.

Has anyone experienced this? What's up?

The indicator lights (including ABS) appearing tie to a brake system issue, specifically the ABS motor. When the lights came on (including abs), did a high pitched tone start? The appearance is your ABS motor is beginning to fail. The owners manual has a section which discusses the illumination of these lights. I recently experienced the same issue and replaced my master cylinder/ABS motor system to correct the problem. Other posts have referenced an individual who rebuilds these systems and sells for significantly less than a new set up from Toyota. I purchased mine through EBay from the same individual for $700 versus the $2,700 plus for new. For your year GX, Techstream would be the best tool for diagnosing the issue and triggering the ABS motor while bleeding the brakes. Thankfully, my 2003 did not need Techstream to bleed the brakes! A “regular” scan tool will not find the problem.

Good luck!

Hi, thanks. No high pitched sound, though. Just the lights coming on. Throughout the day today, the three VSC lights have been on, but no ABS light. I'll go get it diagnosed, then go from there.

I stand corrected, it is the VSC light and Diff Lock light that are on. She was driving this morning and went over a speed bump and it came on
