Blind spot mirrors (aftermarket)? for a 2013 LC

My '03 4Runner had convex mirrors in the upper-rear corners of the cabin, either side of the top of the rear hatch, molded into the headliner. I could see to both sides looking back through the rear-view mirror, could see when my bumper cleared the car next to me. Could see my trailer hitch also. By far the best blind-spot system I've seen.

I am considering sticking a small blind-spot mirror on the inboard side of each side mirror housing, between the housing and the side windows. That would be a nice place to hide the metal part of my key.

The new ones have some extra features. BSM, heated, electric controls. I think the only things lacking now might be the electrochromatic (auto-dimming) function and you lose the mirror memory settings.

The old ones are electrically controlled as well…but no heat. What I WISH they could do is remotely extrend and retract. If they could…I’d swap. I’ve not been running with mine, as the trails I tend to do would be a problem with the wide clearance issue. Also…I’m not regularly towing these days.
With added width… this, for example, would have been impossible at last year’s Cruise Moab witheven the newer Clearview version:

Guess that answers my question of whether you can squeeze a 200 through the tight section of Elephant Hill...

Ya... I was the only 200 in the group, and widest vehicle. Very tight for sure…no contact.

Here’s the leeway…shot from driver window. Tiiiiiight indeed. Amazing trail. Highly recommended. Some tricky stuff. I did figure out why I got quite hung up at a different point later in the day. Resolving that for next time…

Those are ClearView mirrors out of Australia. They’ve since updated them, so there are a couple options to choose from.
They now have a US distribution. Not cheap, but quality is good.
Thanks for the info! I'll hunt them down!

Anyone ever try Tundra mirrors? I wonder if the aftermarket options available to Tundras would be an option? Looking at pics, the mirrors' mounting point look very similar in shape.
