looks good.

finishing them up tomorrow(Friday) at 7:30 if anyone wants to lend a hand. Already got some cold PBR in the shop fridge ready and waiting(had to change it up, the fancy stuff seems to make everyone want to stand around and talk.)

DANG! I will be getting my health done at the Kirklin Clinic in the AM... but folks are coming down tomorrow afternoon for the GAP on Saturday... so i gotta get back to Auburn...

legs installed, cut, waiting for the main slider to be tacked on.

Welding is finished, sliders are loosely bolted on the truck and headed home with Brian for a new paint job. Brian is going to take some finished pictures to close out this thread. I can say that getting everything lined up at night is much harder than the daytime.

issues encountered tonight - the top corner of the middle passenger mount was contacting the body support keeping it from seating to the frame along with the front drivers side mount.

The frame is thinner in front of the crossmember. The back two mounts are 2-3/4 inches wide while the front is slightly wider than 2.5.

Update................... Still no paint. Lost this weekend to the doc in a box. Whole family is sick, so no chance to take advantage of the perfect weather for painting. They look great on and give the Princess a place to step up from. Wife's happy, Daddy's happy. Will try to get pix of before and after paint posted up asap.

If you want to get them blasted before you paint them shoot me a PM I might be able to work something out.

Got paint code for the lower trim of the truck. Planning on paint this Sat. if weather permits. Gonna have to do extra cleanup of surface rust because of the delay. I wanted to find a hammered or wrinkle finish to paint them with, but no luck with a color match.

Thanks for the offer. Right noew I just need to get these things painted ASAP. I may be considering powder coat in the future and might see if the offer still stands then.

Still waiting to catch you and some of the other locals at a meeting. Hopefully we can put together a spring meet and greet soon and get a parking lot full of cruisers in one place.

How much would sand blasting and powder coating run on a set of these sliders

Haven't priced it out, just know it aint in the works before the kids go on Spring Break. Just putting gas in this pig($3.30 /gal) is killing my pocket right now. :flipoff2:

So far they look great! After the the bumper I may need to get a pair of this

If you are even thinking about getting a set made you better PM Matt quick. His order sheet is gonna be booked after I get pics of these beauties posted.

I don't think I would spend the money powder coating them unless it is a real mall Cruiser...
The powder coat just doesn't last on them...
You can buy some rustoleum, shoot them once a week for the rest of the trucks life and still have money left over... That is unless you know someone who will do it for Beer.

Lol that would be nice, I'll see if our body shop can powdercoat!!! Lol but I'll probly go with rustolium I already got my order in about a week ago I believe it was

Rattlecan Magic

I knew that I wasn't going to get the real paint job sprayed this weekend 'cause of bad weather,so I found a can of cheap spray paint in the garage just to cover the bare metal with and get me by for the weekend. They don't look too bad though.
