After searching I found how to clean and preserve all the black weatherstripping and window moulding, but nothing was said about having black streaks come from them after rain or any water.

My specific problem is the rubber around the windows, antenna, and any other black rubber moulding leave black streaks down the white paint, which don't wipe off easily when left for a few weeks. Does any one know of any cleaner or preserver that would prevent this? (Other than replacing all the rubber) What causes this? Also, where can you find 303 Aerospace Protectant, as that was one of the recommendations for preserving?
Thanks

Have you tried Mother's Back to Black? It is a good rubber renewer and it is a white cream as it comes out of the bottle. I haven't noticed any streaking or stains, but then I have a dark green cruiser.

I've seen 303 at Baxter Auto Parts here in Oregon, but you might find it quicker online. Great stuff.

Well that was the reason I had the streaks at first, so I went over it all by hand with polishing compound to remove those black streaks and the chalkyness of the paint. Then I went back over it all again with Mothers Carnuba wax. Although I haven't done the 3 step Deep Crystal cleaner, polish, and wax from Mothers that I did on my supra.

After all that, the next day it rained of course. Many of the streaks wiped right off, but some did not. I probably will go over these spots again with polish and wax, but is there anyway to reduce the black tears? Will that rubber renewer help with this? I also notice it coming from the hard black moulding beneath all the windows (probably has rubber under the moulding?)
