@bungalobill, your rig is morphing a little like mine when I first got it, i.e. aftermarket rims & tires, K&N FIPK, stock muffler/resonator delete in lieu of Flowmaster. Mine is even black like yours. I had a leaking exhaust manifold so I opted to replace with the aforementioned Doug Thorley headers for some extra oomph. Worth every penny IMO. Like the others said, these beasts will never be fast, but they should be fun. And I have fun every time I get behind the wheel, slow as she is despite the "performance" upgrades. A SC on the other hand might change things a tad

...and my exhaust manifold is as well leaking. what a coincidence!

I'm not sure what motor they have, it sounds like the majority have V6's. If love to have a 1,200HP 100...our V8's are reliable, but fall short in aftermarket performance.

I believe it's the 1FZ inline 6. ;)

The "ultra high performance" 100s you see in the middle east, with big ass turbos and making 1200hp and what not, use the 1FZ.

there are a couple of videos on youtube of such beasts..

Even with a supercharger my Hundy does not feel fast. I doubt it is even in the sub 8 second range for 0-60 or under 15 seconds for a quarter mile.

Bill,

I hope that is your name. You seem to have a well built garage of fast cars. I will say I was incorrect with part of my logic. The 1998-2005 100's were not that fast. However, my error comes in stating that the 06-07 model years were slow. I drove one for about 2 weeks (debating on purchasing) and it was much, much faster than my 2000. If you want a 100, that is "sportier", look into the model year with VVTI and 5 speed. Throw some Seqouia 20" wheels with Nitto's on it and have fun.
