My father-in-law was in town for the week and has wanted to go wheeling with us. So we did an impromptu trip over Black Bear to Telluride and returned via Bolam Pass. I ran into Ben at the bank on Thursday and he decided to join us with his son.

Is Bolam Pass on the road that comes into the back of the Purgatory ski resort?

One of them yes. It's entry is north of Rico. You can also use Scotch Creek & Hotel Draw if you want to start a little south of Rico on the other end.

Nice! We were paddling on Haviland, will try to keep the Durango crew in mind when we are wheeling. Love the pick of Lizard Head in the distance. We snowmobile around Bolam all winter.
