Hello all,

I have a problem replacing my BJ75 left rear wheel bearing; I cannot seem to get the axle out... I dismantled the whole drumbrake system, but still the axle stays in solid as a rock.
Anyone who knows how to get the axle out without having to dismantle the whole diff?

Thanks in advance,

Rick

Hi Rick ,Is it a full floater or semifloater. The full floater you just remove the wheel and undo the 6 nuts on the axle flange and pull.
You dont touch the brakes.

If its a semi floater you take off the brake drum and undo some parts insie the diff.Im not sure which as Ive as Ive never done a SF.

Er... I think it is a full floater, but I'm not sure... The six nuts you're talking about; is that the nuts with which the wheel itself is attached to the axle?

Thanks...

the fullfloater axle can be recognized by the protruding hub (6 additionnal nuts on its end) that comes out in the center of the wheel. On the semi-floater the wheel mounting surface is just a flat surface with 6 studs.

If it is a semi floater you will have a removable differential cover.

If it is removable remove it. Inside the differential there is a block on a cross shaft. Pull the bolt that holds the block pin in. Pull the pin (about 12 or 15 mm or so thick) and then pull the block out. then push in on the axle shaft till you can slide the C clip out. Once the C clip is off the shaft should pull out easily.

Full floater is dead simple and requires nothing more than undoing the nuts on the end of the axle shaft flange, pop out the conical washers and then yard out the shaft.

Ok! I'm sure its a semi floater now. Will see if the people in Macedonia have the bearing in stock :)

Thanks a lot guys.

Rick
