Happy new year, Have 2 questions about my Bj74

1. Where is the water seperator located, its not on the filter. I think its near the air cleaner, but Im not 100% sure.

2. Are the shock absorbers front and rear the same as a BJ70, or 60 series. My truck is stock ride hieght, anyone have sugestions for replacment shock. Oem toyota or other makes thanks Travis

there is a little gizmo called the sedimenter that is on the right side of the engine near the rear. i believe it's the first thing your fuel lines see after the tank. it has wires on top and should be black in color. it's about the same size/shape as your fuel filter. those wires are the ones that send the water in fuel signal to the warning light.

The shocks are the same as a Cdn spec BJ70. This is one area where OEM is reasonable (at least they were last time I checked). Phone a few dealers, and see what they quote for a 1985-87 BJ70. If you are planning no spring lift/replacement OEM will work quite well.
