Is this normal for the 70's series? Ive got a 85 BJ74 and on full blast it really doesnt produce much airflow. Any ideas on how to increase?

Recently replaced the resistor on mine (very easy to do...24v part 87138-90K01 from @Radd Cruisers ). Mine had at least a couple fan speeds that didn't work. Now all the fan speeds work and even the ones that did before seem to produce better airflow.

Maybe pull yours and have a look. Could be there's a bunch of straw, brush, fuzz, and/or other stuff mucking up the resistor. I suppose you could clean it up a bit, but for me it made more sense to simply replace the resistor with new.

Is it operating on all 4 speeds? Is the airflow restricted somehow , eg has the ducting come apart or leaking?, are your controls opening/closing the flaps properly?
70 series fan blowers produce a healthy amount of air IMO.

Try getting at the blower end and see what the airflow is li ke there. Is the recycle/fresh air function working?
Whoever done the LHD swap may have ran into some hardware problems.

well, i figured it out. Wires were backwards. it was actually pulling air in rather than blowing out. Now she blows like a French whore in heat

That paints a picture.....
