I just did that trip, and there are some BRUTAL hills, especially out of Osoyoos and Christina Lake (I think). Of course I was towing a loaded military trailer too, and that sent my EGT's up. Beautiful country though...I could smell the pine in the air as I was driving through...lots of wildlife too.

I do that trip (Hwy 3 to Nelson) in my 24 passenger E350 pwrstrk bus once a month. There's some hills you can coast down for what seems like for ever. But watch out for loaded trucks crawling down in low with engine brake. You don't want to come round a corner downhill doing 90 and find yourself flying at the rear end of a truck doing 10kmh. Don't miss the spotted lake!

New bj70

Just got my 85 bj70 from Rob, the stock 3b cetainly doesn't seam to have the same get up and go as a 3b in a bj42. Will live with it for now. Will keep up on your progess :), get some ideas. Gotta love the 70 series

I think that is the difference between the 3.73 gears in the BJ70 and the 4.11 gears in the BJ40,42 series. Next year i am going to install 4.11 full floaters and electric lockers. Will also change the gears in the transfer case. 8% overdrive in high range and i think it's 46% underdrive in low range.I will be fueling tomorrow so i can check mileage again.

Well the second tank of fuel came out at 28.57 miles per gallon, again around town driving. gotta love it.:D :D Will try to make the meeting on Friday.
