Tech Lite!Oh and that will be my last non tech, non part number contribution to this thread.....I hope.
Onur, you probably have no idea how much reading about the Hole In The Rock trip changed how I want to live my life, who I want to surround myself with, and the vehicles I want to do it in.
I can’t wait to see this one back on the road.
Highly recommend the factory tool for installing the stubborn tensioner spring.

One big step closer!
Have an awesome time on the bike trip!![]()
Truth!System integration is important for me; When you pop the bonnet and see the engine it will look like it’s supposed to be there, coming off the assembly at the Araco Yoshiwara plant assembly line number 1 between the years of 01/1990-12/1994.
Master awakens.
Part numbers begin to flow.
All is well again.
Quick update: been awhile and as the old adage goes, my interest in working on my own junk is literally zero after spending 40-50hrs per week working on other people’s junk.
One of the negatives of having my engine around is that it often gets used for parts to fix customer trucks: “Vacuum pump is bad. Wait! Onur’s engine has a new one let’s get that…”

Anyway, new vacuum pump acquired and installled along with another “let’s use it from Onur’s engine”…. Power steering pump…

Also, for those with 1PZ/HZ/HD family iteration motors, the PS oil reservoir soft line is not available in the US. 1FZ soft line will work…part ID/OD are the same. 1FZ soft line is about 7mm longer…. Works perfectly.

In other news, gave myself a hard deadline to finish this truck finally.
Signed up for Rubithon in Tahoe in June. Guess I need to finish my truck sometime soon here. Last time I drove the Con in my own rig was in 2009 in my old FZJ80. I’ve been plenty of times in the interim but has always been either hiking the trail and providing spotting/mechanical support or driving other people’s rigs.

Got some 4:1 transfer case gears coming from @orangefj45 to make Rubithon crawling a bit better. Get those installed and then mate xfer to trans and at that point we can drop the engine in and get it lined up for frame mounting modifications.
Going to do a bit more on a weekly basis to work towards getting her done soon and getting some miles on her.
Will need to get exhaust sorted out, wire up the rear Eaton locker, PS cooler, a bunch of electrical (going from externally regulated ALT to an internally regulated ALT), and a list of other small things.
Hope to have it done by May so I can shake her out for 4-5 weeks before making the long haul to Tahoe from Southern Arizona.
Kinda excited to be driving my own LC again. Been DDing my Prius for year now, and while I love my Prius, I do miss driving my own truck every once in awhile.
