Got the machined transfer case housing back from Georg. So much better than me grinding it down with a die grinder….

Orange marks are where the machining occurred to install the 4:1 gear set:

Next steps:

1. Build xfer case onto transmission and then install into truck. Position it correctly into body. Everything is based off the location of trans/xfer/driveshafts.

2. Install 1PZ and then measure position on current mounts. 100% they won’t match up. Ergo, construct new engine mounts.

3. Systems integration: hydraulic, electrical, cooling. A lot of the work will be here— engine to body mainly.

4. Suspension: going to try out the TerrainTamer parabolics springs/rubber bushings/aftermarket shocks. I like mixing and matching. Might fail, might be successful. SWB trucks are so harsh on suspension.

5. Creature comforts: re-install fridge, hitch for carrying bikes, off-road bike rack, storage for tools/spare parts/life.

6. Shake down. 500 miles. 250 on road/250 off road.

7. Off to Rubithon 2026.

Thanks Homie. I know you don’t like me,

Cheers.🤘🤘
That’s just not true
Just because I called you out a few times doesn’t mean That I don’t like you !

What I do like is straight forward people that posses great knowledge and love of what they do.

but I do hope that you appreciate that when I build something, it is correct.
I do appreciate it, that’s why I follow you thread.

I actually look forward to the day we meet !
And I mean that, I have a feeling it will be this year

💪💪

I’m surprised you haven’t been stashing the OEM engine frame brackets ?

Nice, I asked becasue I saw the C word in #2 above :)
Those should just fit right up with 70 series block brackets/mounts, right?

We should point cloud scan those/measure real good before you weld them in.

@OGBeno oooh! I thought the left side 51422-60190 was a goner.

Why? These parts are readily available from Toyota.

Scanning them now will ensure the configurations of these parts are documented and available when they are no longer available from Toyota

Just my crazy perspective ...

Ain’t got the time or technology to do that currently. If someone wants to come over and do that, then by all means.

Small victories every day:

Another set of parts pulled off my truck and placed onto another truck. Finally got a new set back: mirrors…. Kinda important…

I was surprised those mirrors were available from local Toyota dealer. Great buy when on a parts sale is going on.
