Hey Guys,

What do you think of my homemade cupholder?
Its not perfect... but pretty close i reckon.

It all started with a left over SS downpipe bracket.

Items required:
· 100dia stainless steel downpipe bracket
· 2no. 50mm screws with spring washers
· An enamel camping mug that I cut the handle off
· Some clip lock rubber from Clark Rubber

Install Time:
· 15mins

Result:
· No longer spilling coffee!

What do you guys think?

Matt

Nice!

There is a thread somewhere on this 70 forum about cup holder.

Use the search fonction to see what other make.

no spilling? you're in a land cruiser so as long as it has no lid you'll be lucky to maintain a half full cup of liquid

Neat idea, never thought of using the holes for the vents

hahaha, good one!...that sure is a nice way to describe my temporary (2 years so far) radio/UHF holder!

Even though tissue paper will work I prefer duct tape or wood shims.:D

I bought this from eBay.uk
Works a treat and gear stick clears fine
Maybe not with the h55 box

Note: alcohol is in there for looks and was not consumed while driving :D
And the arb compressor switch below beer is now for looks as the piece of cheap s*** arb compressor doesn't work any more, typical over rated Arb products.

Clint where did you get that 3:1 cig lighter plug? I got one on an extension cord but the dog keeps getting tangled up in it.
The cup holder might work with the H55F gearstick as it leans back

A mate ordered a few from fleabay and gave me one, there were a couple of $ each.
Im sure "the 12v shop" in welshpool sells them as well

An Australian drinking Italian beer........are you not patriotic?:D

That can on the driver side is just as Aussie as Emu export, (note: cant say fosters anymore as the poms own and brew it.. thank god)

Having replaced the floor support in front of the center console for suspension seats, both the non suspension and the suspension floor supports have weld in nuts that could easily have a cup holder fabricated to support two drinks without getting in the way of the shifter etc. This drink holder and a rear swing out bumper that does not obscure the right tail light are the two most important aftermarket parts not yet mass made for the 70 series HT-ST, MWB, and 4 door wagon.

It seems the best aftermarket product thus far is Doug's tub that one day I may own!

Clint, did you just fit it into the empty space of the radio without taking out the plastic drawer?

Poms are British ;)

I had a shelf under my deck and pulled that out, then with the cup holder set up it just screwed into the Toyota bracketry
