Ive been checking kijiji daily and ive only seen FJs recently
I have a 1986 HJ60. Pretty well the whole drive train has been rebuilt over the last 5-6 years. It has a rebuit 2H 6 cylinder diesel,a rebuilt 5 speed transmission, rebuilt front and rear diff. Front half of the body is in good shape. The whole body had been redone when I got it , but now the wheel wells and rocker panles have rust. I am in Saskatchewan. Im interested, but hesitant about making a purchase from somewhere that the roads get as much salt as they do over there. How many kilometers? Was there a reaaon for the rebuild? Any accidents?
I have an hj61 I'm debating selling, don't know if you're into RHD , but I'm on the island too.

A month ago, RHD would have been a deal breaker but im willing to take a look at it. Its got the 5 speed right?
Yep, 5 speed, 12ht ( I'll miss the engine the most) pretty new 31's, rear bumper with swingout. 180k kms.
Some rust, needs a little this and that, but nothing sinister. Lots of west coast pinstriping and paint chips.
Rhd isn't too bad. Depends, my commute used to involve a lot of merging, so a bit of a bugger first thing in the morning if you forgot to scrape the windows...

3B and h55, lower range 4low gears installed in tcase from 4 speed
custom tubular turbo manifold with Subaru WRX turbo installed
EGT and turbo gauges
straight stainless exhaust
Lift springs, greasable shackles
255/85/16 toyo MTs

In calgary and on the road. 1986 hj 60 auto. stainless rockers, repaired rear 1/4's mostly clean everywhere else. has 271,000km on it. originally from B.C. had alot of maintenance and replacement parts by po. mechanically sound.
