I am in the same boat. Chances are you will need to have a bracket for the compressor made for you i have contacted a gent who has made one and will be making one for me....perhaps two brings the price down. ....Other posts indicated that an fj62 idle up solenoid works for the 3b. The crank pulley is elusive, may have to go top dollar with spectre off road for that. The condenser is the same as in fj 60, hopefully your cab has all the interior parts installed. Rockauto has many parts at a reasonable price. New hoses are likely as the stock hoses may have routing and clearance issues.

Good luck and if you source a pulley or bracket let me know!

Cheers,
Ryan

Does the FJ60 compressor fit the 3B bracket? The compressor from a 62 mounts are completely different.

I'm in the same boat. My 60 was converted to a 3B that HAD AC, the 60 did too. So, I'm looking for all under hood parts. Except pulley and bracket. Be sure to post up a list of what you end up using!

Not sure if the FJ62 and FJ60 compressor fit the 3B bracket...

But I know that you hit gold if the bracket is on your engine...that and you have the 3groove pulley.

Sound like you need the following:
Belts
Compressor
Drier (same as FJ-60)
Condenser (same as FJ-60)
New Lines
and an idle-up solenoid that will jive with the diesel..
I have heard that you can modify the part off an FJ62 to work with the 3B, or just bump the throttle cable.

I just need to find the pulley....the brackets are being made in the next few weeks by a fellow mudder.

Thats what I figured the list would look like for me. I read somewhere that an idle-up is not really necessary for this engine. I forget who wrote that. Over here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/diesel-tech-24-volts-systems/746533-3b-ac.html it is noted that an FJ60 compressor fits a 3B bracket. It's hard to find one at an auto parts store to test fit.

Try Old Air Products. I am installing the unit in my BJ60 now. Living in Hotlanta. Must have a/c. They give you everything you need accept the bracket. I had one welded together and hung the compressor below the power steering pump. Used 4 holes on the block 2 on the side and 2 in front to hold bracket. Runs on the same pulley as the power steering pump. Blows Cold. The diverter box/coils hang under the dash and work with the same stock vents. Putting it all back together now. Just another option. Good luck.
