Hi All,

Just thought I would spread the word, don't really want this thing leaving the Peace Country (We are cruiser poor as it is already) but thought a cruiser head would be a better owner than some punk up here that knows nothing and will distroy it. Anyway it is a pretty rare beast, it is an import from New Zealand, RHD, 3B, flat deck,...... I know a little about it, but have only seen it in person up close once, but drive by it quite often. Here is the add in the local website. Please under stand this is up north, tire kickers beware, dude probably doesn't want his time wasted, so if you are serious, feel free to call and bug him, but expect to either travel up here to see it (12-15hrs drive) of if you want I could go look at it and take some close up pictures.

it looks much better now with the work/storage box removed from the flat deck. It looked a bit odd before.
not bad for the price

Yeah the guy had it for about a year, but like most people up here, he is used to the big 3 power, and for some reason, he thinks the 3B is slow and underpowered?:D

The 3b and 2H are perfect here in Vancouver. We mostly idle anyway.

Mm...power. The wifes uncle let me take his 2008 chevy duramax for a boot.

Holy s*** that thing has balls.

Yeah I agree, my cummins eats pavement for breakfast, no matter how heavily it is loaded up. putting two quads or sleds on the back of a 3B powered rig would make a long trip pretty crappy.

Ya that was from Whistler had wooden door panels, I was interrested but the prez said it was unavailable over a year and a half.Looks way better with the utiliy box off

What do you mean unavailable over a year and a half? I assume you are refering to the year in the add says 86 eventhough they stopped making 40 series in 84?

All I have to say is Crap. Another truck I want. I'm starting to play the lottery. The year thing is a bit confusing though, and a 4 speed transmission? I thought the latest and greatest 40 series came with the 5 speed along with other goodies like AC.

not 45s, they are ment for "industrial" applications. It probably has drum brakes too:)

Ya, the date is confusing, '84 was the last year of the xJ4x series. I don't believe the 45's ever came with a 5 speed. But, I just pull this stuff out of my arse...
GG

It's a 45, they were deemed not worthy, or more correctly, a truck, and didn't need such luxury as disc brakes, power steering, faster gears, and pussy-fying AC.

I think the year thing might be a mess up while insuring it in BC, or maybe a dealer thing in NZ as they may have had a few trucks left over into 85? I may just go and have a closer look anyway, cause it might be good to have a spare truck around just incase my truck craps out and I could swap axles and keep on wheeling. I do know he said to a coworker he is not firm on 7000, so a reasonable offer would probably be accepted.

Nice, let the collecting begin:D

Now that Jim has his 5 acres up here, we are slowly pulling our herd north, and we can now slowly add to it as well:grinpimp:

That was for sale in Whistler a year and a half a go, I was interrested in it but Steve said it was unavailable, some one up north was buying it. It did have wood door panels and was missing the dash pad.
