This is an original 40 specific 5 speed with the correct shifter position.

I just did the H55F conversion in my BJ42 and I just want to say that this is a SMOKING DEAL.

Here's what I paid:

NEW H55F 5 SPD - $2300+
POST 85 TRANSFER CASE @ SOR - $1700+
ASSORTED PARTS - $1000+

Then 6 months in the shop to source all of the parts.

Did prices go up?

Last i checked a NEW h55 shipped from toyota in LA was $1600 shipped! and used tcases could be had for $500 with the good bearing rebuild kits costing a few hundred more.

New h55s run about 2400 - without t-case or anything else.
